Secondhand, Independent, New Release — What the Three Tabs Mean

The tabs on this site don't sort by subject matter — they sort by how the thing was made and where it's coming from, which is exactly the info you need if you're actually trying to figure out where to get the best deal.

Secondhand Gravure is physical media that already went through one owner: DVDs, printed photobooks, whatever a store took in and is reselling. Condition varies listing to listing, which is the tradeoff for prices that dip well below original retail on older titles — this is usually where the actual bargains are.

New-Release Gravure is the current, officially-distributed stuff, sold new. Higher price floor, but no condition roulette and the packaging photography is usually the sharpest.

There's a third tab, Independent Gravure, reserved for smaller independently-published work — it's just empty right now since I pulled the one source that was feeding it (see the platform guide for why). It'll come back if I find a source worth using.

A given model or series can show up in more than one bucket at once — a photobook from three years ago might be sitting in Secondhand now while a new digital release from the same person lands in New-Release. That's normal, not a cataloging error, and honestly it's useful for comparing what the same person costs old vs. new.
